2011 Report
* Followed up with visitors who signed our guest register by way of
a personal letter, phone call, and/or visit.
* Presented our visitors with a gift
bag, which included a brochure about our church and church family, a
booklet explaining the Lutheran faith, and some everyday goodies
such as a pen with OSLC's name on it, pencils, candy, hand
sanitizer, kleenex, note pad and coffee mug, etc.
* Letters were sent to new residents of
the Cayce-West Columbia community with zip codes of 29169 and 29033,
inviting them to worship at OSLC.
* Bulletins were mailed out to church
members who were unable to attend Sunday
services.
* OSLC hosted the community lunches on
the last Wednesday of each month. A big thanks to everyone who
organized, participated in serving, and prepared the meals in 2011.
* Followed up with prayer requests from
our church members, friends, and family.
* Bill Hill, coordinated, and partnered
with Trinity UMC to provide health screening and flu shots for the
community; whose services were provided by Lexington Medical Center.
* Committee members participated in the
church wide yard sale in April.
* Committee members helped plan, and
participated in "Operation InAsMuch".
* Committee members reorganized material
on the altar in the Narthex to include: usher and greeter badges,
and informational items pertaining to OSLC.
* Committee members were responsible for
re-organizing and updating the bulletin board's in the Cameron Hall.
