In February 2008, the Congregational Council appointed the Memorials
and Gifts Committee to oversee the work related to memorial and
honoraria gifts to our congregation. The committee is charged with
acknowledging gifts made to the church in memory or in honor of
someone, keeping records of those gifts in the church’s Memorial
Book, developing a list of memorial gifts that would benefit the
congregation and helping to arrange for the purchase of such items
in cooperation with families and subject to approval by the
congregational council. In addition, the committee is responsible
for taking inventory of unused memorial gifts which might be retired
or offered to other congregations. These are ongoing duties each
year. |
