The Committee’s primary responsibility is
remembering and visiting the sick and/or shut-in members of Our
Saviour. We perform various remembrances and visits during the year;
i.e., Valentine’s Day, Christmas. During the summer months the
shut-ins are remembered with a special gift delivered by committee
members. We participate in many special projects that take place
during the year to help in our community outreach for our church. A
few are listed below.
- Monthly food donations to God’s Helping
Hands averaging 50 to 70 lbs
- Food deliveries to shut-in clients of GHH
once each year
- Volunteers help the Cayce-West Columbia Post Office workers with
their annual food drive for GHH
- Sponsor a fall coat and sweater drive to help needy families of
the Cayce-West Columbia area
- Coordinate with the Elderberries, the OSLC ‘families helping
families’ Christmas through Lexington School District 2 at Saluda
River Academy for the Arts
- Participate in Synod wide Operation
Inasmuch with our cluster — Mt. Tabor, Faith, and
Transfiguration
